Spiritual Journey
spiritual travel [ Deeper Spirituality] Coursework : Seminar, small group, sharing
'Spiritual Journey' starts with the thought of rest.
In particular, due to the 'corporation' wind of the church that was popular in the 1980s and 1990s, the church has become a culture that prioritizes corporateization and efficiency, and we are standing in a speedy society that changes day by day. In such a time, the spirituality of taking a break will not be left behind, but rather, I think it will become an important asset to our faith.
Because faith is about direction rather than efficiency and speed. And it is because we run hard without checking the direction, but at the end we may experience spiritual helplessness and deep disappointment without our knowledge.
The spiritual journey that starts from the value of rest first examines the direction of our Christianity and examines where our own faith started and where we are now. And then we turn our gaze to God, and then we come back to the reality of our spirituality.
Rather than adjective or ideological spirituality, 'Spiritual Journey' touches our skin and tries to become like Christ through our hands and feet. In addition, it is a spiritual training course that combines religious consumerism and faith insight into media, as well as reflection on faith such as hospitality and love habits, which modern Christians may think of.
*This course runs from 12 to weekly (once a week), and there are assignments and sharing for seminar participation every week. One-time topic lectures are also available.
Add a comma to faith
The church's entrepreneurial approach has increased efficiency and speed in the church. If you are immersed in efficiency, the Holy Spirit is alienated, and if you are immersed in speed, you become ignorant of direction. What is right faith and spirituality must be paused, i.e., restarted with a comma.
Church looking back
Christianity and the church have looked forward and have run their best so far. But now is the time to look around us and prepare for the new generation by looking back on our past.
religious consumerism
Beyond the consumerism of brands such as Starbucks and luxury goods, we look at the phenomenon of religious consumption. Meanwhile, Willow Creek Church, which was a model for churches around the world, including Korea, declared a failure of ministry.
Let's look at it through religious consumerism, among other factors.
Spiritual Training 1: Sabbath/Media Fasting, Media Redemption
The sad fact is that it is difficult to find the concept of rest in Korean churches, including pastors. And today, the media has entered our lives most and deeply, and we are also busy consuming media. We will also learn about the rest and restraint of the media.
when I take off my armor
Generations that have experienced wars and turbulence are usually not good at caring for themselves or expressing their emotions. It is not easy for believers today to encounter their own past or to reflect on their emotions. stand for a while, Take time to remove the barriers that are blocking you and God's creative principles.
Moving Your Eyes to God's Eyes
What kind of heart does God have when he sees us? It is time to move our eyes through the eyes of God. And if there is any misunderstanding toward God, we will try to solve it and By approaching existence and identity, you discover for yourself where your safest haven is.
where is my faith
Paul speaks of faith from a childlike faith to a mature stage of faith. There is no one-size-fits-all guide to every stage of the believer. However, there are good guides for reference. Use our safe guide to find out where our faith is today and to move further into our faith.
Spirituality Training 2: Hospitality/Community
The theme of community cannot be separated from faith. In addition to looking at the community, we look at hospitality towards the community. So we want to experience the power and influence that hospitality gives to believers.
communication and community
The best communicator is Jesus Christ. This is because the one who transcends time and space has come to us with the intention of being confined to space and time for us. We look at the communication necessary for the community we live in and online communication in a religious way.
love practice
At the time of the Exodus, families who put sheepskin on their doorposts on the Passover experienced salvation regardless of whether they believed it or doubted it. But what will the world say to us if the life of a person who has the assurance of salvation in the doorpost has fallen?
one who crosses the barrier
The reason why the book of Acts is called the Acts of the Holy Spirit is because we see that God the Holy Spirit is the main character who overcomes all obstacles and leads us to a new phase, although it seems that people do the work. Learn about the Church and the sovereignty of our lives.
Spirituality Training 3: Meditate/Read the Bible together
There are many different types and methods of meditation. Introduce the method and try to put it into practice. And read the Bible as a community, meditate together, and have time to share the deep things of life.
Spiritual Habit Basic (Source)
Both the Old and New Testaments speak of the encounter between God and man. Theologically, it is expressed as presence, in which presence is the default option for a life separate from holiness. Today, where we have lost our present salvation because we are engulfed in future salvation, it is an era that requires more companionship, intimacy, and longing.
future spiritual journey
This is the last time of the spiritual journey 'Deep Spirituality'. Let's summarize the spiritual journey so far, and plan a spiritual training for the future by reflecting each person's inclinations and unique characteristics.
Canaanite Saints
The number of Canaanite believers is increasing. The world outside the faith distrusts the church, and the people inside the church are more likely to leave the church. And the corona situation has deepened the Canaanite believers and they are getting more used to online worship.
Another filling is needed in the life of Canaan. When defining the church, we usually need the elements of kerygma (proclaiming the Word), koinonia (communion), and diakonia (service and service). This also includes leiturgia (worship) and didake (teaching).
Currently, most of Canaan churches meet online kerygma, but it is difficult to meet koinonia and diakonia for healthy churches.
We want to make small group koinonia (communion and love of saints) in various ways or through 'spiritual travel' and move forward with various forms of diakonia (service and service). And we hope that we can pray together and move on to a new type of church tour.
Consumerism Series: Identity Consumption
One of the main goals of marketers is to create a brand image for a product and instill value in it. Today we consume numerous brands.
Consuming identity in a cup of coffee, consuming and projecting identity through good shoes and clothes.
The Christian world needs deep exploration and reflection on where our identity must be found and where we can finally enjoy stability.
130 Introspection
Life change does not happen through knowledge transfer, but begins with self-reflection and determination.
The spiritual journey is not a one-way lecture, but rather starts from sharing and supporting each other and, above all, looking deeply into oneself.
Sometimes it's a little painful, sometimes it's full of God-given joy, and sometimes it's a whole new commitment.
When work is about to swallow you up, when the speed of the world is about to swallow you up, you need to reset your faith through commas.
I hope you don't lock God in your faith, or you yourself in a cage. I want to be able to escape by resetting my faith.
If you are a long-lasting Canaanite believer, you want to be able to approach a new faith through commas and resets to make a new community or go one step further. or Those who want to look back on whether or not we are becoming Canaanite believers without our knowledge also want to press the comma and reset button in faith.
We welcome those who wish to reflect on their faith, overcome the past and save the present, and take an experimental journey towards the future through 'Spiritual Yeohae'.
