One of the major concerns of Christianity today is that the spirituality shown in the church and the spirituality shown in the workplace are different. It hurts us to be judged by the world that one believer is a 'faithful worker' in the church, but not at work, and does not live according to the words of the Bible.
The 'work and spirituality' process starts at this point. So, we trace the background of our dualistic faith and explore together how to move forward to a healthy and balanced spiritual life.
Another important base in the 'work and spirituality' process is the phenomenon of urbanization. By understanding the characteristics, changes, and dynamism of the space we live in, we hope that we will be able to have a missionary challenge and coast to see the world or the city of Korea where we live.

Reviving a Fragmented Spirituality
: Our field and reality
In modern Christianity, trust in God is strong, but it is weak in obedience to the Word.
Also, although strong in the vertical faith of love of God, it is insufficient in the horizontal faith of love of neighbor.
And while serving in the church is an example today, serving in the workplace is very weak.
Therefore, we are not criticized by the world by living according to the Word, but by not living according to the Word. This is an aspect of our fragmented and dualistic spirituality.

From the Middle Ages, the church began to be institutionalized and empowered. Therefore, all activities, including liturgy and worship, have been concentrated around the church building. To this day, most of the church's work is being done inside the church building, and the ministry to the world and neighbors is only a small part of the event. Fortunately, some churches are being converted into church buildings that communicate with neighbors.
It is necessary to shift the direction of the center of the church building towards the world and neighbors outside the church.

And human beings have been commissioned by God to rule and keep them well. Jesus Christ showed us that government is not about having the superiority to overpower with guns and swords, but about serving. Today, the earth is sick and it is revealed that we humans are responsible and responsible for it, which is shameful as Christians. Just as we should serve and love the world and our neighbors, rather than have the upper hand, we need an attitude of love and service for the earth, environment, and ecology. It is our spirituality we need in work and life, and it is our hope to pursue the practice of integrated spirituality in the Garden of Eden who wants to love and fully serve work and life.

Korea is one of the most urbanized countries in the world, and today's cities are emerging as a very important missionary space. A city is also a space where multi-ethnic and multi-class intersect, a space where power, culture, and information are concentrated, and a space where they are spread.
This is why it is necessary to take a deep look at the missionary implications and challenges that cities and urban workplaces have for Christians today.

Today, Christianity is shunned by society. So, the gospel of Christianity is no longer a gospel to the world, but a noise.

In Genesis 1, God forms a community through the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and humans form a community through Adam and Eve, and together with God and man, they form a community. Even flora and fauna and nature can be seen being included in community unions.
This is why we need to focus more on the spirituality of 'relationship' rather than 'alone' when we talk about the spirituality of work and life.
